What if my course section isn't listed?
|
That may mean that your professor has not submitted any information. Independent Study
courses are also not typically listed. Contact the professor for information. |
How can I tell if a course is a First Day Access course?
|
In the online bookstore, you will see a note indicating that the book is part of the
First Day Access program. You should have also received an email alerting you that
one or more of your courses are part of First Day Access. The email will give you
information on the books and prices, as well as a link where you can opt out.
|
How do I opt out of a First Day Access book?
|
You can begin opting out before the semester begins by clicking on the link in the
email you received. If you cannot find your email, opting out can also be done through
D2L once the courses open to student access:
- log in to D2L, go into the course
- click on "Resources"
- click on "First Day Access"
You can opt out through D2L beginning at the start of the semester.

Does the change to an online bookstore mean that all books will be electronic/digital? |
No. The LHU online bookstore is just an online store where you can purchase or rent
the text in a variety of available formats (print, digital, looseleaf, etc.).
However, First Day Access textbooks are e-textbooks. If you prefer to purchase a physical copy of the book, you must first opt out of
First Day Access through D2L BEFORE the deadline.
|
Are all courses part of the First Day Access (FDA) program? |
Unfortunately, no, they are not. The publisher of each textbook must be willing to
give us the lowest possible price in order to be part of the First Day Access program.
|
How does shipping work? |
You will have multiple shipping options at the time of purchase, including free shipping
options during promotional periods. You can opt to have your books shipped to LHU
or have the items shipped to a private address. To take advantage of free shipping options, you must purchase your books during the
promotional period. Shipping details will be listed on the online bookstore website. |
