Graduation FAQs:

What is the difference between graduation and commencement?

Some students confuse graduation with the University's Commencement ceremony, and it is an easy mistake to make.  Graduation is the required process for every student who has completed their degree requirements and wishes to have their degree conferred.  The Commencement ceremony is a voluntary celebratory event to which all graduates are invited but are not required to attend.  Lock Haven offers graduation three times each year (May, August, December) and offers a Commencement ceremony each May.  For more information, visit https://myhaven.lhup.edu/ICS/Registrar/Graduation.jnz
