Spring Semester Orientation

Get ready to Soar Higher at The Haven!

Lock Haven University is gearing up to welcome our students who are beginning in the Spring 2022 semester for an exciting and informative orientation program. Below you will find registration information, but first, let's talk about why orientation is so important.

We require that students attend orientation...yes, it is mandatory.  It is mandatory because national research shows that participation in orientation is one of the best ways to support college success.  Every decision we make as an institution is driven by just that, what is best for our students.

You will find that the orientation program provides students with a better understanding of academic expectations, a clearer understanding of their role as a college student, exposes them to resources and how to access those resources, and most importantly, it strengthens the student-parent-LHU partnership. Something we strongly believe in.

We encourage parents to attend orientation with their student. The beginning of a college experience is a very special and exciting time, not only for the student, but for parents and family members as well. The more that family members understand about the college experience, the more helpful they can be to the student during their transition. We host special sessions during the day that are just for parents.

A half day program for students who will begin classes in the Spring Semester.  This program is for students only.
