Dr. Kathleen Allison, professor of Community and Public Health Education in the Lock Haven University Department of Health Science, authored a chapter in the text, "Cultural Competence in Health Education and Health Promotion." The Jossey-Bass text, edited by Raffy Luquis and Miguel Perez, examines the intersection of culture and health and the importance of cultural competence for health promotion practice.
The Lock Haven University Department of Health Science will hold a virtual public health education major and minor open house from 4-4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3.
Dr. Kathleen Allison, LHU health science professor, was recognized by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) for her service to the board of commissioners.
Throughout the pandemic, Lock Haven University faculty and staff have worked hard to mitigate COVID-19 on campus in many ways. Earlier this year, the university assembled a COVID Institutional Response (IR) team consisting of 13 faculty and staff members.
