The Lock Haven University Biology Department recently hosted a virtual conference webinar for the 53rd Annual Commonwealth of PA University Biologists on April 9.
Riyana Owens, of Red Lion, is a 2021-22 recipient of Lock Haven University's (LHU) Frederick Douglass Emerging Leader Scholarship. Owens is a senior dual majoring in biology (pre-medicine) and psychology with a chemistry minor.
Samantha Whelan, of Exeter, is one of nine recipients of the Lock Haven University Alumni Association Scholarship for the 2021-22 school year. Whelan is a sophomore transfer student majoring in biology at LHU.
Throughout the summer, Lock Haven University biologists, Dr. Steve Seiler and Dr. Heather Bechtold have led a team who have been surveying streams throughout the Allegheny National Forest (ANF) in McKean County.
