Each faculty, staff and student will receive a user account that allows access to LHU online resources (computer access, email, and password protected websites). Faculty and staff accounts are created once all paperwork is signed and entered through Human Resources. A member of the IT Helpdesk will reach out to you via phone to walk through the initial set up of your account.
LHU’s timely warning system is in place to inform the campus community about a range of topics: emergency and weather, student life, academic deadlines and trolley updates. We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to sign up for emergency text alerts. Go to the timely warnings page to sign up for timely warning notifications/emergency text alerts.
Auto-Dial Phone Subscriptions:
Lock Haven University Telecommunications has established an automatic notification
system for inclement weather and emergencies that will notify employees of these events
by calling a set of employee-specified telephone numbers. Each employee may specify
up to 3 numbers that will be called. An audio message pertaining to the situation
will be played. This system exists in addition to, but separate from, the emergency
text alerts. Sign up for these alerts here.
The Employee Self-Service (ESS) Portal is a web-based service that provides employees with the ability to view and update information related to their employment with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). This portal is where you can view personal information, benefits, leave & time, and payroll information. It is used by the Human Resource Office for the purpose of paying your salary and administering programs, including your employee benefits. The login information for this site will be the same as your LHU email and account login.
Access to MyFirstDays:
ESS contains the application, My First Days. It also allows employees to enroll in
benefit plans such as Medical, Retirement, Flexible Spending Account(s) and Basic
Group Life.
