Spring Semester Move-In

 

Welcome to your new Haven home!

We are excited that you will be living with us in the residence halls this upcoming spring semester. Moving is exciting — and stressful. Knowing that, Lock Haven University tries to make the process of moving to campus as easy as possible. Learn more about spring semester move-in below.  

Spring 2023 Residence Hall Move-In

Lock Haven University Move-In Days are structured around assigned move-in appointments. All students, both new and returning, will be scheduled to arrive on campus on a specific day at a specific time. Move-In Appointment information will be sent to your LHU email address in early January 2023. If you have a conflict with your assigned Move-In Appointment, please contact your Residence Hall Director for assistance. 

Scheduled Move-In Days

  • Students new to living on campus will move in on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
  • Students who lived on campus during the Fall Semester will move in on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

 

Move-In Steps

1. Arriving

On move-in day, please arrive during your assigned time. Proceed straight to the designated parking area for your residence hall. We request that your guests wait in the car until you have received your keys.

2. Checking In

Report to the Front Desk located just inside your residence hall's main entrance where a member of the Housing & Residence Life staff will assist you. Campus Village residents should report to the Campus Village lobby located under the red awning facing the railroad tracks. At check-in, you will receive a room key and a mailbox key. You will also confirm your room inventory form. This inventory form is a checklist regarding the condition of the room upon check-in and an accounting of the room furnishings. If you find any discrepancies with the room inventory, you must report these discrepancies to your Residence Hall Director immediately.

3. Relocating Your Vehicle 

As soon as you are finished unloading, we ask that vehicles relocate to the designated parking areas so others are able to move in. 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Moving Bins -- Moving bins will be available.  Please note that we do not have enough bins to accommodate every student moving in.  We suggest that you bring carts and dollies from home to assist you.  

Meal Plans -- Student meal plans will be activated for use on Saturday, January 12, 2023, for dinner.  Students are allowed to lower decrease their meal plan until January 27, 2023.   Meal plans can be increased at any time. Click here to learn more about our meal plan options.

Hall & Floor Meetings -- The date & time of your meeting will be sent to you via your RA.  

Classes -- Classes begin on Monday, January 23, 2023.
