Lock Haven wrestling is set to soar into the future following the public launch of "The Rise," a campaign to raise $3.5 million to propel the Bald Eagles' nationally ranked men's and women's wrestling programs to their greatest heights yet.
Athletic Training Students

Athletic training faculty, led by Dr. Jody Russell, mobilized a successful fundraising campaign to address financial challenges faced by athletic training graduate students, ensuring their access to medical equipment and uniforms needed for the academic year. Without a hitch, athletic training alumni were up to the task.

In less than one year, Philip Burlingame '78 and a team of alumni volunteers have helped the university's Center for Career and Professional Development launch Professional U, a groundbreaking initiative that integrates successful alumni into the student experience. Professional U opens doors to highly-impactful mentorship, internships and other career development opportunities that help distinguish Lock Haven graduates above their job-market competitors.

When Chris Amato '91 chose to enroll at LHU, there were two things he was sure of: That he would dedicate his life to a career of helping others. He also believed Lock Haven was the perfect place to help him make that dream come true. What Amato could not have foreseen at the time is that just two years after earning his degree, a loved one's terminal cancer diagnosis would have the Amato family in dire need of healing of their own, and that his Kappa Delta Rho (KDR) brotherhood forged in Lock Haven would play a serendipitous role in making that seemingly impossible miracle become a reality too.

That’s why Reed Mellinger, a 1985 LHU graduate, and the Learning Center Director at the Betty Schantz Tutorial Center in the Stevenson Library came up with an idea to help students relax a bit, with the help of a few of his furry friends.
