The Sport Studies Department at welcomed back alumni Rob Kristiniak '06, Meghan Grenier '12, Corey Woomer '20, and Bryce Bauer '22 to speak about their careers in the sports industry.
56 alumni-brothers of the Kappa Delta Rho (KDR) fraternity returned to Commonwealth University-Lock Haven from June 2 to June 3, generating $7,400 for the Kappa Delta Rho Alpha-Alpha Scholarship during their KDR Alumni Weekend.
Chris Valdez began his career as a student at Lock Haven in the Fall of 2018 as a marine biology major, but his love of sports pushed him in a different direction, which led to a significant change in major and career path. In February, three months before graduation, Valdez was already named director of athletics media relations at Coker University in Hartsville, South Carolina.
In honor of the remarkable life and career of 1954 Lock Haven alumnus William "Bill" Ira Vance and his 35 years of dedicated service to educating and mentoring students, the Vance family has graciously endowed the William I. Vance Memorial Scholarship through the Lock Haven University Foundation.
