Lock Haven wrestling is set to soar into the future following the public launch of "The Rise," a campaign to raise $3.5 million to propel the Bald Eagles' nationally ranked men's and women's wrestling programs to their greatest heights yet.

Robert "Bob" Lomison, a 1977 graduate of Lock Haven State College, recently solidified his commitment to enhancing professional development opportunities at Commonwealth University (CU) with a $250,000 gift in support of Professional Experience Grants (PEGs). The Robert C. Lomison and Drew W. Cross Professional Experience Grant, established through the Lock Haven University Foundation (LHUF), will provide CU-Lock Haven students with learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, fostering personal growth and professional development that set graduates up for rapid career advancement.

Commonwealth University's commitment to student success is epitomized by the impactful dedication of our alumni volunteers. Marsha (Peterson) Kaiser, a proud 1976 graduate of Lock Haven State College (now CU-Lock Haven) with a degree in Social Work, stands as a proud beacon of inspiration in this regard. Now retired following a successful career in executive leadership, Kaiser has transitioned her passion for empowering others into impactful alumni volunteerism.

Commonwealth University-Lock Haven celebrated the graduating Class of 2024 during the spring commencement ceremonies. Graduate students were celebrated on Thursday, May 9, at 6 p.m. in the Thomas Fieldhouse and undergraduate students were recognized on Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium. More than 500 members of the Class of 2024 received their degrees.
