Throughout the pandemic, Lock Haven University faculty and staff have worked hard to mitigate COVID-19 on campus in many ways. Earlier this year, the university assembled a COVID Institutional Response (IR) team consisting of 13 faculty and staff members.

Throughout the fall semester, many Lock Haven University faculty have needed to adjust the way they teach their classes.

In recognition of outstanding students, the Pennsylvania Association of TRIO Programs awards scholarships to 13 deserving students each year. Two of the 13 recipients from 2019-20 were Lock Haven University students. Both Arianna Figured and Adriana Bumbarger, participants in the LHU TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program since their freshman year, were honored.

Local leaders and officials at Lock Haven University have been actively discussing plans to improve the financial position and support of its Clearfield campus and develop new pathways to grow enrollment in its service area for the future.

Over $100,000 was raised for LHU students during Lock Haven University's All In Day of Giving, more than doubling the $50,000 goal for the day. The money raised during the 24-hour fundraiser, held from noon on Thursday, Sept. 24 to noon on Friday, Sept. 25 will support LHU student-athletes whose scholarship dollars were severely impacted by the economic fallout from COVID-19.
