Featured, general, integration, Commonwealth University July 1, 2022
After more than 18 months of work by nearly 1,000 individuals, the integration of Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield universities under the banner of Commonwealth University officially took place on Friday, July 1.

Philip Burlingame, a 1978 Lock Haven State College (LHSC) graduate and featured alumni speaker at Lock Haven's 2008 commencement ceremony, has been elected to the Lock Haven University (LHU) Alumni Association board of directors.

The Community Service Office at Lock Haven, part of Commonwealth University, hosted its annual Hunger Bowl competition during the month of October. Student clubs and organizations were charged to collect non-perishable food items to donate to local food banks. Donations benefited the Haven Cupboard campus food pantry. This year, faculty and staff were also encouraged to participate in the competition.

Lock Haven men's soccer player Colton Swanson, of Bradford, is the recipient of Commonwealth University - Lock Haven's 1977 National Championship (Soccer) Scholarship for the 2022-23 school year. Swanson is a junior health science major with a concentration in pre-physical therapy. He is also pursuing minors in psychology, and community and public health education.

The Lock Haven Dance Consort will hold its semi-annual Showcase on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the John Sloan Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
