The Board of Governors for Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education unanimously approved a measure Wednesday, July 14 to integrate six institutions into two new universities, the latest action in a multi-year system redesign effort to bolster student success and institutional sustainability.

Lock Haven University professor, Dr. Gérard Martorell recently was invited to be the keynote speaker in the Open Innovation Garage talks on June 22 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Prior to this year's spring commencement, Lock Haven University also held a virtual Lavender Graduation ceremony honoring seven seniors. Approximately 25 students, faculty and management attended the event on Zoom, which was organized by the President's Commission on LGBTQ Affairs.

Lock Haven University professor, Dr. Mohamed Khalequzzaman, recently spoke at the International Lecture Series organized by National Oceanographic and Maritime Institute in Bangladesh.

UPMC in North Central Pa. will partner with Lock Haven University, Clinton County and Keystone Central School District to host drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinics on Friday, June 25 and Monday, June 28 from noon to 4 p.m. at Lock Haven University's Student Recreation Center, 550 Railroad St., Lock Haven. Both clinics are free and open to the public.
