The C. Michael Steadman Jr. Memorial Physician Assistant Scholarship is awarded annually to a Lock Haven health science student that best represents the leadership qualities of 1991 Lock Haven University graduate Charles Michael Steadman Jr.
Lock Haven University recently held its Lavender Graduation event honoring two fall graduates, Hunter Swartz, of Jersey Shore and Alexis Gallagher, of Scranton. Lavender Graduation is a nationwide event that celebrates the academic achievements of LGBTQA students and allies. LHU's ceremony was organized by the President's Commission on LGBTQ Affairs.
Each year, STEP Head Start collects mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves for their Mitten Tree project, benefiting the children in their Head Start program. This year, the Lock Haven University Community Service Office and University Store decided to join the project.

The Lock Haven Community Service Office recently hosted its annual Adopt A Family project in partnership with the Salvation Army in Lock Haven. Members of the Lock Haven campus community were asked to donate gifts to children in need. Volunteers were provided a wish list of items the children had requested.
