The Board of Governors for Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education unanimously approved a measure Wednesday, July 14 to integrate six institutions into two new universities, the latest action in a multi-year system redesign effort to bolster student success and institutional sustainability.

On Dec. 20, 2021, Dr. Gerard Martorell, LHU faculty member, visited the European coffee and tea company Coffee Centers. The company recently supported the LHU Pitch Competition by donating $1,000 for prizes to the students. Martorell visited their headquarters to thank them for their support of LHU students.

Lock Haven University students and staff recently had their research published in the International Journal of Nursing and Healthcare Research (IJNHR). The IJNHR is an online journal that publishes research from the areas of healthcare and nursing.

The Lock Haven University Testing Center will conduct a number of in-person Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Tests throughout the spring semester and into the summer. The first testing session will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 in the Testing Center.

Lock Haven University has announced that its spring 2022 semester will begin on Monday, Jan. 24, with the first week of classes to be delivered online. The university will continue all classes the week of Monday, Jan. 31 as regularly scheduled - in-person, hybrid or online.
