Several Lock Haven University students, along with faculty and staff members, were among the presenters at the PA Community Public Health Annual Conference held recently at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College. This year's conference theme was "Sustaining Public Health in Pennsylvania Through Best Practices and Community-based Initiatives." The group presented on LHU's COVID-19 mitigation efforts and research.
Lock Haven University is a state university in Clinton County offering a very strong athletic training program that expands far beyond their small roots in Central PA. There are strong ties between the athletic trainers who studied at Lock Haven. There are a surprisingly large amount of them in Pennsylvania, who most likely have heard of or worked with other ATs from Lock Haven. A great example of the tie between Lock Haven AT students is currently taking place at Albright College in Reading.
Bella Schmitt, of Dillsburg, is one of three recipients of Lock Haven University's (LHU) Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) Scholarship for the 2022-23 school year. Schmitt is a rising sophomore majoring in health science with a concentration in pre-physical therapy.
Lock Haven University sport management students Taun Evans, of coatesville; Taran Patterson, of York; Lacey Snyder, of Herndon; and Ethan Walker, of Hillsgrove, recently had the opportunity to work at the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
