As a pre-health professions student at LHU, our cross-campus team will work with you to provide the advice, valuable feedback, workshops, medical school contacts, medical internships, and admissions test assistance you’ll need to be competitive in gaining admission to post-graduate schools.

Students pursuing graduate school in the health professions typically enroll in one of the following academic tracks:

Program Highlights

  • Premed Advising Coordinator
      • Member of NAAHP (National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions)
      • Authorized by AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges)
      • Offers the latest information and tips for admissions success
      • Works alongside academic advisor to design coursework
      • Assists in securing internship and shadowing opportunities
  • Premed Advisory Committee
      • Provides a comprehensive letter of support upon application to professional school
      • Assists in compiling post-graduate application materials
  • Facilities
      • LHU’s science department is housed in the new, state-of-the-art East Campus Science Center and in the Willis Health Professions Building. Both locations offer extensive equipment for teaching and research in both field and laboratory settings, giving you the chance for hands-on learning at every stage of your education. Resources include:
      • Advanced microscopy with digital cameras
      • Advanced physiology equipment
      • Tissue culture facilities
      • Modern molecular biology equipment for analyses of protein, DNA, and RNA
