When Lock Haven University welcomes students back to campus in spring 2019, some may have their four-legged companions in tow. The university will be the first in the Pennsylvania's State System to introduce a pet-friendly residence hall.

Lock Haven University, in collaboration with the PA Game Commission and Temple University, are studying the effectiveness of the antifungal agent polyethylene glycol 8000 (PEG) to inhibit the growth of Pseudogymnoascus destructans (Pd), the causative agent of White Nose Syndrome (WNS) in bats. This research recently was featured in National Geographic.

Lock Haven University President, Robert Pignatello, Amy Molyneux and their dog, Ralphie, will host another Yappy Hour dog walk and social at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 27.

Lock Haven University and the LHU Young Americans for Liberty will host a lecture by Dr. Christina Hoff Sommers at 7 p.m. Monday, December 3 in Ulmer 211 on the campus of Lock Haven University.

Lock Haven University's fall 2018 Graduating Seniors' Art Show will be on display from December 3- 14 in the Sloan Fine Arts Gallery.
